Manford Garver, 70, died at his home on RFD 4, at 2 p.m. Friday. He had been ill for the past two weeks. Mr. Garver farmed I n Montgomery County his entire working life. He was a member of the Wesley Church.  Born near Crawfordsville on Sept 14, 1882, he was the son of Samuel and Alice Stonebraker Garver. He married Minnie Myers on Oct 19, 1904. Surviving are wife: one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Hunter of Crawfordsville; three sons, Raymond, Barton and Samuel all of Crawfordsville; one brother, Harry of LaGrange; one sister, Mrs. Flo Zachary of Pennsylvania; a half brother, James Fruits of near Crawfordsville; a half-sister, Mrs. Lovincia Whalen of Crawfordsville; 8 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Guy Tremaine will be in charge. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. – kbz (thanks Dellie)

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. for Manford Garver who died Friday. The services were conducted at the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home and burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Floyd Keller, Cleve Heath, Harry Fruits, Vern Remley, Jess Graves and Ott Detchon.  Miss Iva Reynolds was the organist. Flower bearers were Edna Keller, Mildred Graves, Carrie Fruits, Mrs. Harkrider, Carol Remley, Mary Hopper, Kathleen Remley, Eula Keller, Mary Parrish, Mrs. Blanton, Eva Logan, Lillian Franklin, Ruth Fruits, Anna Heath, Lucille Powers, Nellie Remley, Nellie Swearengen, Betty Douglas, Shirley Veirs, Phyllis Davis and Marian Garver. – kbz (thanks Dellie)
